Manchester City have entered serious discussions over a move for Robbie Ure, with the Scottish forward’s remarkable goalscoring exploits in Sweden turning heads at the Etihad and beyond.
According to a report from Caught Offside, City and Chelsea have both moved past the scouting stage and opened early talks over a potential deal for the 22-year-old. The development shows that interest which had been simmering for months is now developing into something more concrete.
Ure, who came through the Rangers academy before choosing to leave Scotland for Belgium and then Sweden, has been almost unstoppable for IK Sirius this season.
He has struck 15 times in his last 14 outings and has now racked up 31 goals in 49 appearances since joining from Anderlecht — numbers that would turn heads in any league, let alone one outside Europe’s traditional powerhouses.
Guardiola’s successor eyes fresh attacking option
