Manchester City could say goodbye to some of their top talents in the coming days with the report that two experienced players are ready to leave the club.
According to the latest development, Ederson Moraes and Ilkay Gundogan are top players ready to leave Man City for Galatasaray. They have reportedly shown interest in the Turkish side and will hope for a move to the club.
Recall that Pep Guardiola recently confirmed that many players will leave Manchester City this summer. The former Bayern Munich boss claimed that he would not be able to manage a team of many players; therefore, some players need to find new clubs.
Pep made the statement after the Sky Blues added some players to their star-studded squad. The Cityzens ahead of the just concluded FIFA Club World Cup bought some players. These include Rayan Cherki from Olympique Lyon, Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan, and Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolves.
Meanwhile, many top teams, particularly in the Saudi Arabian league, have shown interest in Ederson and Gundogan. Galatasaray is, however, in a leading position to secure their signatures in the coming days.
Other Players That May Follow Ederson And Gundogan Out Of Man City
There are many other players ready to leave Man City this summer as their role in the first team can no longer be guaranteed. With the addition of new faces and many are still expected to join, Pep Guardiola will have to sell some senior players.
Apart from Ederson and Gundogan, Jack Grealish, John Stones, and Nathan Ake are among the players ready to leave Man City should the right offers arrive from other clubs.
The Sky Blues have reportedly told Grealish to find a new club. The Englishman did not make the list of players that represented the club at the Club World Cup. Therefore, he’s closer to a move away from the club.
Stones and Ake are the other two players whose time at the club might have come to an end. With the arrival of young defenders, these two may need to find their way out of the club.
Another factor that may contribute to their plight is their injury records. Both defenders have become injury-prone in recent years and they hardly stay fit for a long period during the season. Therefore, Manchester City may offer them to other clubs, particularly in Saudi Arabia.
