TRANSFER DEADLINE DAY: ‘Special’ Man City Player Is Suddenly ‘Very Close’ To Joining Another Club

Manchester City are braced for more departures as the transfer deadline day looms large, with one of their most experienced midfielders, Ilkay Gündogan, reportedly on the verge of leaving the club.

The Premier League champions have already seen several players exit this summer, highlighting a significant reshaping of Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Jack Grealish was sent on a season-long loan to Everton, while James McAtee made a permanent move to Nottingham Forest. Rising star Claudio Echeverri has also joined Bayer Leverkusen on loan to gain more first-team experience.

But it seems the exodus may not stop there, as one of Guardiola’s most trusted players edges closer to a new challenge abroad.

Gündogan’s Future Set to Be Decided Within Hours

Gündogan is another player likely to leave the club on the transfer deadline day, according to a source close to the situation.

The 33-year-old German midfielder, who has been an integral part of City’s midfield over the years, is reportedly in advanced talks with Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Also, respected journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has claimed that Galatasaray have tabled a lucrative offer of €5 million (£4.3 million) per year for the experienced midfielder.

Negotiations are believed to be progressing quickly, with the expectation that the deal could be finalised within hours.

Should the transfer be completed, it would mark the end of an era for Gündogan at Manchester City. The midfielder was instrumental in the club’s domestic and European success under Guardiola before he moved to Barcelona. He, however, returned to Manchester City after just a year with the Spanish club.
