Arsenal, Real Madrid, and Manchester City are interested in signing Nathaniel Brown, a highly-rated Eintracht Frankfurt’s left-back, according to Bild.
The 22-year-old has been one of the standout young defenders in the Bundesliga since joining Frankfurt in January 2024, and his form this season has only increased speculation over a big move in the near future.
Brown has made 41 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring four goals and providing nine assists — with a goal and two assists coming from just eight matches so far this campaign. His attacking output from the backline, combined with defensive consistency, has turned heads across Europe.
Earlier this month, his performances earned him a first senior call-up to the German national team, marking a significant milestone in his career. He made his international debut against Luxembourg last week, further cementing his reputation as one of Germany’s emerging talents.
According to Bild, Brown dreams of featuring at the next World Cup, and his growing prominence has attracted attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs. Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all said to have included him on their shortlist of potential signings.
The report describes Brown as a modern full-back with a combination of pace, intelligence, and tactical maturity rarely seen in players his age.
“What makes Brown so appealing,” Bild reports, “is his high football intelligence combined with enormous speed.” The German outlet adds that this combination “is rarely seen in a left-back in the top division.”
Brown’s game has evolved considerably over the past year, with improvements in his positioning, timing of tackles, and defensive discipline complementing his natural attacking instincts.
Frankfurt will not Stop Brown from Leaving Despite His Five Years Contract
Frankfurt are aware that Brown’s progress will inevitably spark transfer interest and they will not stop him from leaving, but the player’s current focus remains firmly with the club.
His contract runs until 2030, providing the German side with leverage in any future negotiations. Bild claims that if a transfer materialises, the club could expect to command a fee of up to €60 million — a figure that would represent one of the biggest sales in their history.
While Manchester City are interested in signing Nathaniel Brown to strengthen their left-back options after the signing of Rayan Aït-Nouri in June. It, however, remains unclear whether they would commit such a significant fee to bring in another defender next summer.
Arsenal, too, are keeping a close eye on developments, as manager Mikel Arteta looks to add competition and depth to his defensive options. For both Premier League sides, Brown represents the kind of technically skilled, tactically intelligent full-back that fits modern football’s evolving demands.
Real Madrid’s reported interest adds another layer of intrigue. The Spanish giants have long sought to rejuvenate their full-back positions, and Brown’s blend of athleticism and composure could make him a natural fit at the Bernabéu. His growing international profile — and his decision to represent Germany rather than the United States — only enhances his appeal.

Brown’s choice to commit to Germany’s national team setup reflects both ambition and maturity. The United States reportedly “tried with all their might” to secure him for the Gold Cup, but he opted instead to represent Germany at the U21 European Championship.
That decision highlights his long-term vision and desire to develop within one of the most competitive footballing systems in the world.
Following Germany’s recent victory, veteran midfielder Joshua Kimmich heaped praise on the young defender, saying: “He did well, especially against Michael. I had him on my radar already.” The endorsement from one of Germany’s most respected players has only intensified the spotlight on Brown.
