After Savinho, Tottenham Want to Sign Another Man City Player

Tottenham want to sign another Man City player after missing out on winger Savinho earlier in the transfer window.

The Brazilian forward, seen as one of the brightest young talents in Europe, was on Spurs’ radar to add pace and creativity to their attack. But Manchester City refused to sell, with club officials calling him “unsaleable.”

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank is keen to strengthen his backline, and Ake is seen as an ideal fit. Known for his composure on the ball and ability to play multiple roles in defence, the 29-year-old could bring experience and depth to Spurs’ squad.

Pep Guardiola has hinted that “some players may need to leave” to make room for younger talents, opening the door for a potential deal. However, City are yet to make a final decision on Ake’s future.

Manuel Akanji Also Linked with Exit

Alongside Ake, Manuel Akanji has also been linked with a move away from Manchester City. The Switzerland international joined from Borussia Dortmund. He played a key role in City’s treble-winning campaign, making 48 appearances in the 2022/23 season.
