“Very Funny Guy” – Bernardo Silva Praises ‘Incredible’ New Arrival At Man City

Bernardo Silva has praised the new arrival at Man City and described one of them as a “very funny guy.” After a challenging campaign last season, Pep Guardiola’s side made several changes to strengthen the squad.

Alongside new players, Guardiola also refreshed his backroom staff, bringing in Pepijn Lijnders, James French, and former City defender Kolo Toure.

Within just weeks of working with the squad, the new arrival at Man City have already been recognised for their impact both on and off the pitch.

Kolo Toure and Pepijn Lijnders Earning Praise

Kolo Toure, who played for City between 2009 and 2013, joined the team that travelled to the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Following his strong contribution during the tournament, he was officially added to Guardiola’s coaching staff for the new season.

Speaking before City’s opening Premier League game, club captain Bernardo Silva highlighted Toure’s character and praised the energy the new staff have brought.

“Kolo’s a very nice guy, very funny guy, also very demanding with a lot of energy, and Pep Lijnders having the experience he had with [Jurgen] Klopp at the level where they put that team,” Silva told Sky Sports.

The Portuguese midfielder believes Lijnders, formerly Klopp’s assistant at Liverpool, can add plenty to Guardiola’s set-up.

“He can bring also a lot of good things to us. It’s nice. We’re enjoying being with them. There’s some different things coming to the team, we’re getting used to it. But it’s been nice,” he added.

Silva stressed that the squad is adapting to the new strategies introduced by the arrivals and enjoying the fresh ideas.

John Stones Impressed With New Staff

Bernardo Silva is not the only one impressed with the new arrival at Man City. Defender John Stones also spoke highly of working with both Toure and Lijnders during training sessions.

According to Stones, the enthusiasm of the new coaching staff has already lifted the atmosphere within the squad. He claimed that it will help the players as the season unfolds.

“And I think it’s all positive. It’s going to help us in the long run; they’re enthusiastic for it, as we are as players. And it will be soon here, the season’s around the corner,” Stones said during a recent interview

Both Silva and Stones believe the addition of experienced figures like Lijnders and Toure will give City a fresh edge this season.
