Man City Player Injured in Training, Set to Miss Brighton Clash

Manchester City have been dealt another setback as a Man City player injured in training is now expected to miss the Premier League fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The development adds to Pep Guardiola’s growing concerns as his side aims to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Tottenham, which ended their promising start to the season.

According to reports from L’Equipe, French star Rayan Cherki sustained a thigh injury during a recent training session.

Cherki had quickly become a standout figure at the Etihad, impressing with his creative flair and scoring his first Premier League goal on debut. He also played a key role in City’s FIFA Club World Cup triumph, cementing his status as one of Europe’s most exciting young talents.

However, his participation against Brighton is now in serious doubt. While Pep Guardiola did not reveal any Man City player injured in training during his pre-match press conference, sources claim Cherki will not be available for selection.
