Man City superstar declares himself fit, ready to face Manchester United

Manchester City face Manchester United in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the Premier League calendar on Sunday, with both sides eager to secure bragging rights in the Manchester derby.

The game promises to be another fiercely contested battle between two local rivals who have consistently produced drama, intensity, and unforgettable moments over the years.

Pep Guardiola’s side head into the clash facing a number of injury concerns, with several key names potentially unavailable.

The City boss has had to navigate a busy start to the campaign in what seems that his squad has already been stretched.

However, there is some good news for City fans after one of their brightest young stars declared himself fit for the clash.

Oscar Bobb declares himself fit for Manchester Derby

Oscar Bobb, Manchester City’s only natural right-winger currently available, has moved to calm fears about his fitness ahead of the derby.

The 22-year-old Norwegian has featured from the start in all three league matches so far this campaign, becoming an important option for Guardiola on the flanks.

There had been reports earlier in the week suggesting Bobb picked up an injury during City’s recent defeat against Brighton, with claims that he was forced to withdraw from international duty as a precaution.

Those rumours sparked concern among City fans, especially given the club’s lack of depth in wide areas due to injuries to other forwards.

However, while speaking after Norway’s 1-0 friendly victory over Finland on Thursday, Bobb dismissed the speculation.

“It was nothing. I felt something in my thigh, and then it turned out there was nothing,” he explained, stressing that he is fit and ready to play.

His availability comes as a huge boost for Guardiola, who will need as many attacking options as possible against United’s defence.

City will still be without new signing Rayan Cherki, who has already been ruled out, while Mateo Kovacic also remains unavailable.

Foden and Savinho could feature against Manchester United

The potential return of Phil Foden and Savinho would be a major boost for City.

Foden, in particular, has built a reputation for delivering in big games and has consistently tormented Manchester United’s defence in the past.

The England international has already featured in eleven Premier League Manchester derbies, scoring six goals against City’s fiercest rivals.

His energy, creativity, and knack for finding the net in high-pressure fixtures could make him a vital inclusion on Sunday.

Savinho, meanwhile, has also been earmarked as a player capable of stepping up in big moments. The Brazilian winger, known for his pace and direct play, has shown he can trouble even the most organised backlines.

If declared fit, he could be given the nod to exploit the spaces left by United’s defence, which has looked vulnerable at times this season.

Should either Foden or Savinho be available, Bobb may have to settle for a place on the bench despite his strong start to the campaign.

Nevertheless, his versatility and form will keep him in contention for minutes during the match.
