Everton mock Man City supporter in a viral post after a ‘crazy’ 3-3 draw

Everton’s social media team sparked a wave of online reaction after taking aim at a viral Manchester City supporter in the aftermath of a dramatic 3-3 draw that could have major implications for the title race.

At the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the match itself delivered the kind of chaos and late drama that has defined the closing weeks of the Premier League season.

But while the action on the pitch was gripping, it was what happened afterward online that drew just as much attention, as Everton’s official TikTok account turned the spotlight onto a familiar face among City fans.

Six-goal thriller leaves title race finely poised

Everton and Manchester City played out an extraordinary contest that swung wildly over 90 minutes.

City appeared in control at the break, leading 1-0 courtesy of a brilliant strike from Jeremy Doku. The winger’s effort gave the visitors momentum and suggested they were on course to secure another crucial three points in their pursuit of the title.

However, the second half unfolded in stunning fashion. Within a chaotic 13-minute spell, Everton turned the game on its head. Substitute Thierno Barry made an immediate impact, scoring twice, while Jake O’Brien added a header to put the home side 3-1 ahead.

The turnaround stunned City, who suddenly found themselves facing a damaging defeat. Yet their response was swift. Erling Haaland reduced the deficit almost instantly after the restart, reigniting hope for the visitors.

As the match moved into its final moments, Everton seemed on the verge of securing a first victory over City since their emphatic 4-0 triumph at Goodison Park during Pep Guardiola’s debut season in England. But there was one final twist.

Doku, already on the scoresheet, produced another moment of quality with what proved to be the last meaningful kick of the game, earning City a dramatic equaliser and denying Everton a famous win.

The result, while dramatic, could yet prove costly for City. They remain five points behind Arsenal, who have played one game more.

Victory in their remaining fixtures would secure the title for Arsenal, adding further pressure on Guardiola’s side as the season nears its conclusion.

Everton’s TikTok post goes viral

While the on-field drama dominated headlines initially, Everton’s activity on social media quickly became a talking point in its own right.

The club’s official TikTok account seized the moment to reference Tal Rehman, a supporter who has recently gained widespread recognition online.

Rehman had previously gone viral after being seen on television drinking from an Arsenal-branded water bottle during City’s 3-0 win away at Chelsea, a moment that quickly became a meme.

Captured by Sky Sports cameras, his reaction spread rapidly across social media platforms, turning him into a familiar figure among football fans.

Following the draw, Everton’s social media team revisited that viral fame. They posted a clip focusing on Rehman in the stands, showing him with his head in his hands after City conceded. The video was accompanied by the caption: “We recognise this Manchester City fan!”

The post resonated widely, amassing more than 350,000 likes and prompting a flood of responses from supporters across different clubs.

One Arsenal fan commented, “Everton admin you’re invited to the parade.”

Another wrote: “Everton admin posted this on TikTok (laughing emojis).”

A third added: “We finally have a prem club that actually loves us.”

Meanwhile, a fourth simply said: “Give that admin a raise !!”.

The reaction highlighted how football’s online culture continues to blur the lines between clubs and supporters, with official accounts increasingly embracing humour and fan-driven narratives.
